In the spring of 2012, Brian Level opened a small private tattoo studio in Ludlow, Kentucky. It has since grown and evolved into Illuminaut, with the addition of Gillean Dublow in 2021, and James Cridlin in 2022. A complete renovation of the space has been completed, showcasing the details and architecture of the late 1800's.

Illuminaut Tattoo is a tattoo studio taking appointments (and walk-ins when time-permits) located in historic Ludlow, Kentucky, just minutes from downtown Cincinnati. We're here for tattooing for the sake of tattooing—committed to craftsmanship and making work that stands the test of time.
